Accountant/ Bookkeeper (Missionary Position)
Part-time, North of Seattle preferred (a combination of office and remote work).

For this role at GRO, you will receive a monthly stipend of $2,000. However, you are expected to actively seek additional financial support to cover your salary, benefits, and ministry expenses. We will equip you with the necessary resources and training to build and cultivate a team of ministry partners.
The Kind of Work You’ll Be Doing:
It applies accounting principles to record financial activity in the general ledger, analyze and reconcile financial data, and present financial information. This role serves the accounting team in the Financial Services Group. The ideal candidate commits to the mission of GRO, teamwork, and their walk with the Lord.
Experience and Skills:
Maintain sound financial status:
· Raise personal financial support at the level assigned by the supervisor
· Keep expenditures within budget
· Develop and maintain a small group of people who covenant to support your ministry with prayer
· Nurture donor and prayer partner relationships through regular communication via visits, phone calls, and prayer letters.

- Applies principles of accounting
- Prepare journal entries as required
- Provide account analysis as required
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts
- Assist with capital assets and the annual inventory
- Assist with the preparation of supporting schedules
- Oversee compliance reporting submissions
- Recognize opportunities for and assist in the implementation of process improvements.
- Assist with financial audits
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting from a four-year college or university and at least three years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong Excel knowledge (function formulas, pivot tables)
- PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
