Escape from Pakistan
This is an amazing story of how God was able to use our ministry and prayer team to rescue a persecuted Christian brother and sister from Pakistan. We are so thankful to have been a part of this story. Celebrate with this wonderful couple and with us as we get to see God working on behalf of his people. Several years ago, in the course of...

Team Save Orphans, Uganda

I am KIYINGI KENNEDY C.E.O at TEAM SAVE ORPHANS-UGANDA. I was born in 1995 on the 2nd of January as told by Mrs. NABUKEERA VIOLA who adopted me after the death of my parents in 1997. She told me that my dear, loving and caring parents were eaten by wild animals as they were in their garden that was located at the far side of the forest. I survived because they had left me at her place so that they could go get some food to eat from the garden.
At her place she used to do brick laying where she used to get some money that helped us to get some of our needs, though she always got small amounts she managed to help me join a nursery school in 2000. Later after nursery schooling I had to join primary school and this was really so hard for her, since the school needs and fees were too high compared to her income and this forced her to let me join her and I help her with brick laying so that we could raise more money for my school needs and other home needs, I was to do this after my schooling hours.
As time went on I had to spend some full days without going to school so that we could make enough bricks, in this situation I was forced to drop out from school so that we could focus on brick laying. With time all we could afford to do couldn't help us at all and this forced me to join the streets in 2009. Life on streets was terribly hard for me whereby there was no daily food, no clothing, no medication no bedding in the cold nights, imagine. I used to get food from pits, cover myself with dirty clothing during the night because of the too much coldness but finally I got used to the rough life on the streets and also got some friends there. On the streets I used to tell Bible stories that I had learnt in school, the other kids that I found there loved this and because of this they loved me so much and cared for [me] in some things I couldn't manage myself.
With time I came up with an idea of letting people know about our lives so that they could give us small jobs to do so that we could earn a living, I shared this to other kids on the streets but many of them did not agree with my idea since they were deeply used and addicted to the street life, but this didn't make me lose hope in what I had thought about so I had to start  right away so that I could at least act as an example to them. I found many challenges to get jobs since many people couldn't trust street kids with their jobs but finally I landed on a building site where they allowed me to help them as a potter in all that I could manage. I used to lift heavy stones and carry heavy wheelbarrows of sand and concrete at the site. They would give me something to eat and also a small wage that I always saved. I managed to pick up with some working experience and with this, my wage increased a little and I was able to share something with others in need most especially the street children.
With increases in my earnings I started reaching out to other needy children in different parts of the country and later that developed into TEAM SAVE ORPHANS-UGANDA, reaching out to many need children in different parts of the country. This made me know that many children are parentless and homeless because of different reasons and this inspired me to open up a small orphanage.
Currently I have gained enough experience in building and I have managed to increase on my earnings and to able reach out to many needy children in different parts of the country as I can afford. I joined facebook last year (2016) and created a facebook page to share what I do with the entire world and probably some people have come up to join hands with me to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
